Jacky,
Those were Turks who said it, so I'm guessing they said it right. (I'm assuming you aren't a native speaker yourself.) But you're right, de/da usually means also. Here I'm thinking it means "and" or "as for."

Martin and others: I used Pimsleur and Teach Yourself Turkish as well. Then I went to Turkey for 2 months and came back. Now to build vocab I use Visual Turkish at http://www.learnturkishnow.com because it's free and easy: they show a turkish word then you have to find the image out of a group of photographs.

Hello/Merhaba!

I'm learning Turkish with the PImsleur CDs at the moment and am going to Turkey in a month's time. Is there a more advanced version I can try after I've finished these lessons?

Great site - I'm going through learning as many phrases as I can!

Thanks,
Martin
