My fiance is from Turkey, and came to the ’states to get his doctorate. Although he plans on living in the US, his entire family is Turkish, and it is important to me to learn the language.

I am trying to study Turkish with the rosetta stone program, but I also like to look at other resources as well. My boyfriend is Turkish and I want to be able to speak to his family and friends when I meet them for the first time.. I found your site to be very helpful. Thanks!!

I hope to visit Turkey so thought it would be useful to know some words, and to start getting used to how they sound. I especially like your comments regarding cultural differences.

I’m interested in learning a few phrases because I’ve become friends with a foreign exchange student that’s living here for the year. It would be nice to be able to exchange a few words in her language.

I’ve been to Turkey several times, love the country, love the people, love the language. I know the basics and got to a point where I can carry a conversation unfortunately it’s been years since I last talked to someone who knew Turkish. I need a refresher in case I’m able to visit again.

My wife and her family are Turkish. When they meet with their friends, I enjoy being able to make more advanced conversation other than the weather, etc.

I have made a few friends who live in Turkey and I find it fascinating to learn to say a few words in their language. I mean afterall, they learned English; otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to become friends with them.
